A letter to the Candidates

This is a great letter that every political pundit and candidate should read before they speak.  We are not in Iraq for the fun of it or the short term, we are there to help the people of Iraq.  We are there to help them secure their lands so that they can have hope that their goenment can work out the details of how their government will work.   It has been a long time, but everyone forgets that it took our own government 11 years to finally compromise on a document that we call the Constitution. You can not form a democratic society over night, it takes time and can be messy at times.  And lest we forget, we are in Japan, Germany and Korea, and that is a little bit longer than we have been in Iraq.  Iraq is like a seed that needs nurishment yo help to grow.  We must not leave them to the terrorists that want to bring the whole Middle East back to the 7th century. Say what you will about why we went or if it was right to go there, but we  must not fail at giving the Iraqis a chance to make their lives better and help spread freedom in the Middle east.
