The Democrat Party's Tombstone

What has happened to the Democrat Party.   It was once a party that was at least sane and had some good candidates.   The last few that have been trown up by the Democrat Party have so far left, it even has Bill Clinton going "Damn".   There was FDR, JFK, Scoop Jackson and Zell Miller.   They all had the defense of our country in mind.   But the current group of Leftists that have taken over the leadership of the Democrat Party have veered so far left, so has some in the Republican Party, that even some die hard Democrats are looking at their demise.   We got the PUMAs calling for a McCain Presidency, and will never vote for the Obammaasiah.

The Republican Party is not really in better shape either.   We have the "purists" who will cut the nose off thier spite their face.   They will go so far as to vote for Bob Barr, who has a snoballs chance in Hell to win, but McCain is too Liberal to them.   Which I think is ridiculous, yes he is not a right win zealot, but he is way better than the Obammasiah.   My first choice if you have been around was Fred Thompson, Fred Head from the beginnning.  But I am not going to be the schoolkid that is going to take the ball home just because I do not get my way.   This has actually broke apart one of my favorite blogs, A Newt One.    This is not good.   We should not good, we  not  throw fellow conservatives under the bus just because we do not agree with everything they have to say.

Both Parties are in a pickle.  But it is looking more and more like the  Democrats are in bigger trouble.   The Messiah Aura of the Obammasiah is coming off and people are seeing what he actually is, a crooked Chicago Politician.   He even has a war on his own website, and the Nutroots are in a Tizzy because he talking like a Moderate.

So I had to laugh   I saw this at Flopping Aces which was taken from a Democrat's blog, Uppity Woman.

Dem CONgress hits a new record

I know that I usually do not put much weight in polls.   Most of them are done with misleading questions and are usually biased in who they poll in the first place.   But the new Rasmussen Poll has the Democrat lead CONgress hitting new lows.  It is the first time that they have ever had a single digit approval rating.  This does not bode well for the Democrats. They had no plan to get out of Iraq, they had no Energy Plan, they have done absolutely nothing to help the American public.  Everyone one of the big time pundits are saying that the Dems are going to have a good year and gain, I think the opposite might happen.  I am not saying this is a done deal or that the Republicans are going to win back the House or the Senate, but it will notbe a blood bath forthe Republicans this year, and they could maybewin back the Senate if they play their cards right.   That is a big if, with this crop of leadership.  But it can be done if they use drilling and energy exploration as a issue big time.

Congressional Performance

Congressional Approval Falls to Single Digits for First Time Ever

The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.

Last month, 11% of voters gave the legislature good or excellent ratings. Congress has not received higher than a 15% approval rating since the beginning of 2008. ---Rasmussen Reports

ONE election." Yes, me must elect Obama or it will be the END OF THE WORLD!!! It turns out that James Hansen has been making Global Warming alarmist WARNINGS for at least 20 years. In 1988 he predicted severe dought was coming to the midwest. Five years later, in 1993, the Midwest experienced extreme flooding. Also check out the current flooding in the Midwest to see just how accurate Hansen has been in his predictions. One might as well consult Jean Dixon in predicting climate change. However, the KOmmies turn to Hansen as some sort of prophet to help them elect their beloved Obama. So let us now watch the KOmmies play the Global Warming Alarmist card in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that the weatherman is lucky if he can predict the weather correctly just 3 days in advance, is in the [barackets]:

In 2006, the great climate scientist James Hansen famously said

Since then, things have gotten much, much worse. The Arctic ice is melting faster than expected. CO2 emissions are accelerating. Global warming is accelerating.

Hansen no longer stands by his estimate that we have one decade to turn things around. He now thinks that was too optimistic. Today, James Hansen told congress that we have one year.

And simply winning is not enough.. we will need radical changes in policy.

Most coverage has focussed on his statement that oil CEOs should be prosecuted. This is interesting, but I think misses the point of his testimony.

It's time to stop Climaticide and that means working for justice as well as having the right policies. Without justice there will be cynicism and cynicism plays into the hands of the denialists and the tactics of disinformation.

The warming of the Arctic is beginning to look irreversible. There are positive feedbacks that are amplifying inputs. Sea ice melting is causing more warming and more warm Atlantic water flowing into the Arctic.

Republican ideology will block any meaningful. Climate related reform into the foreseeable future. We all might as well accept extinction because nothing will change in the USA in terms of politics. The only conceivable circumstance that might avoid extinction of humanity is if the oil economy suffers catastrophic and irreversible loss. Which, given Republican Rapturist ideology, is always possible via warmongering, most likely Iran. Even the complete melting of Greenland won't stop the greed and selfishness of Republicans.

He seems to be mixing a bunch of stuff. One moment, it is "99% certain." The next he's saying there will be 2-meter sea level rise this century, which is certanly not in IPCC projections.

Speaking global Democrat. Diplomacy equals magic. Democrats will protect America from Iranian nukes through tough principled diplomacy translates Democrats will protect America from Iranian through tough principled magic.

Engage means appease. Democrats will engage America’s enemies. Translates, Democrats will appease America’s enemies.

Importantly, end means lose. Democrats will end the Iraq war. Translation, Democrats will lose the Iraq war.

Yesterday I did a post called Can we call them Socialists now, and it was a video of Laura Ingraham and Malia Lazu talking about the Democrats call to take over the oil industry.   Well, Robin and Chickenhawk Express did a little background check on who Malia is, and it as you would guess.  She went down to fawn over Hugo Chavez and is part of Oil Change International, which is associated with many leftist and Socialist organizations.

I thought that the Left was the one's that are more understanding and got alongwith everyone.  I mean they want to playfootsies with terrorists and maniacle leaders.  But if you say Bush, Rove or Cheney in front of them, you can see their mouthed frothing and the lynching talk begins.   What is is about Liberals that they do not get, politics is not an all out war, and people that disagree with you are not evil.

Your scenario spells it out. This is what I truly wish for them. They should live among the mentally ill homeless. Fight with others for ownership to their space under a bridge. No rights other than to be born to this earth. As they gather at the table of the local soup kitchen they can talk of the days they dined with kings & emperors, but who's going to believe them, others at the kitchen? They've all got incredible stories to tell, triumphs and days of grandeur. No pricey shoe shopping for Condi.No jetting the world with an entourage of security & assistants, and no sleeping on the finest linens. Unkempt hair and head lice. Decayed and missing teeth. Calloused feet from days on the street. No bath, no masseuse, no soap. This is what they have dealt American citizens and this is what they should endure until the day they disappear and die for lack of affordable medical care. I can think of nothing more fitting for what they have selfishly taken from our Nation.

PETA would never treat a cow that way, but I guess it's OK for an intern. Many organizations that focus on extremes could take note that leading through example makes more impact than demonstrating with hypocrisy. Monday Rush read part of one of theAmerican Thinker piece by one Rocco Di Pippo, "The Audacity of the Democrats."   It is very good read and should be the rallying cry for conservatives.   And Cumudgonly & Skeptic has a terrific video of Rush reading it.

Ok, for one thing, I do not know what the hell a Lightworker is.   Can anyone tell me other than this nonsense about him being a better being than the rest of us?????   The DUmmies are pouring iut on strongin this post from our intrepid reporter, PJ Comix.  You can just see them fainting at the thought of the Obamassiahin thier presence.   It just makes me sick that people can fawn over any politicianlike this, ecspecially one form the Chicago Machine.  But the worst part of the Obamassiahworshipping is that almostno one even knows whathe will do as President.  He has changed his mind on many policies that even makes John F'ing Kerry blush.  And it does not help the Messiah aura that he comes from the most corrupt city in America,Chicago.   Anyone that comes out if this cesspool of corruption and criminal activity has nothing to talk about in coruption.  Obama's early days as a community instigator for ACORN is nothing to be proud of, unless you are Saul Alinski or one of his acolytes.   And yes ACORN is that same organization that got busted for signing up the dead and dogs in St. Louis and Kansas City a few years ago.     And more stuff from his past will come out like how sought the endorsement from a new political party that was totally Socialist in its formation, thanks to Eric Erickson at Redstate for his detective work.

You can get an idea of just how far gone the Left has become just by looking at the title of the Mark Morford San Francisco Chronicle ARTICLE ---"Is Obama an enlightened being?" Of course, the DUmmies have answered that question in the affirmative as you can see in this THREAD. The FUnnie thing here is that the same DUmmies who slam conservatives as a bunch of superstitious "fundies," blindly accept the notion that Obama is some sort of godlike being with a supernatural aura. Meanwhile I can picture Moses sitting atop Mt. Sinai saying something like: "Hey DUmmies! Did you idiots ever notice that Commandment #1 states that 'Thou shalt have no other gods before me' followed by Commandment #2 which declares that 'Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image'?" Of course, the DUmmies would sooner believe that astrology, with the moon rising in Uranus, has more validity than the Ten Commandments. So let us now join the DUmmies in the middle of their Obama Worship service while the commentary of your humble correspondent, reminding all Druids out there that there will be a bingo game following the Wednesday night Oak Worship service, is in the [barackets]:

No, it's not merely his youthful vigor, or handsomeness, or even inspiring rhetoric. It is not fresh ideas or cool charisma or the fact that a black president will be historic and revolutionary in about a thousand different ways. It is something more. Even Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn't have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity.

[LOL! I used to know a New Age scam artist in L.A. who used those exact same words when hustling bucks out of gullible rich chicks. He would tell them that they had a "powerful luminosity" and a "unique high-vibration intergrity" or something real close to that.]

Dismiss it all you like, but I've heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who've been intuitively blown away by Obama's presence - not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence - to say it's just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord.

Here's where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.

[Yeah, ushering in a new way of being on the planet is all fine and dandy but is Obama a member of the IBLW, the International Brotherhood of Lightworkers? Remember, we want only union workers.]

The unusual thing is, true Lightworkers almost never appear on such a brutal, spiritually demeaning stage as national politics. This is why Obama is so rare. And this why he is so often compared to Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., to those leaders in our culture whose stirring vibrations still resonate throughout our short history.

[Yeah, old man Joe Kennedy paying off county sheriffs in the 1960 West Virginia primary to support his son because he was a deeply spiritual Lightworker, unwilling to dirty his hands with mere politics.]

Are you rolling your eyes and scoffing? Fine by me. But you gotta wonder, why has, say, the JFK legacy lasted so long, is so vital to our national identity? Yes, the assassination canonized his legend. The Kennedy family is our version of royalty. But there's something more. Those attuned to energies beyond the literal meanings of things, these people say JFK wasn't assassinated for any typical reason you can name. It's because he was just this kind of high-vibration being, a peacemaker, at odds with the war machine, the CIA, the dark side. And it killed him.

Now, Obama. The next step. Another try. And perhaps, as Bush laid waste to the land and embarrassed the country and pummeled our national spirit into disenchanted pulp and yet ironically, in so doing has helped set the stage for an even larger and more fascinating evolutionary burp, we are finally truly ready for another Lightworker to step up.

Let me be completely clear: I'm not arguing some sort of utopian revolution, a big global group hug with Obama as some sort of happy hippie camp counselor. I'm not saying the man's going to swoop in like a superhero messiah and stop all wars and make the flowers grow and birds sing and solve world hunger and bring puppies to schoolchildren.

Please. I'm also certainly not saying he's perfect, that his presidency will be free of compromise, or slimy insiders, or great heaps of politics-as-usual. While Obama's certainly an entire universe away from George W. Bush in terms of quality, integrity, intelligence and overall inspirational energy, well, so is your dog. Hell, it isn't hard to stand far above and beyond the worst president in American history.

[GASP! How dare you even suggest that the Obamassiah might possibly have imperfections like the rest of us mere mortals? Heretic!]

But there simply is no denying that extra kick. As one reader put it to me, in a way, it's not even about Obama, per se. There's a vast amount of positive energy swirling about that's been held back by the armies of BushCo darkness, and this energy has now found a conduit, a lightning rod, is now effortlessly self-organizing around Obama's candidacy. People and emotions and ideas of high and positive vibration are automatically draw to him. It's exactly like how Bush was a magnet for the low vibrational energies of fear and war and oppression and aggression, but, you know, completely reversed. And different. And far, far better.

Don't buy any of it? Think that's all a bunch of tofu-sucking New Agey bulls-- and Obama is really a dangerously elitist political salesman whose inexperience will lead us further into darkness because, when you're talking national politics, nothing, really, ever changes? I understand. I get it. I often believe it myself.

Not this time.

I have been saying this for months. Obama is more highly evolved than any politician I have seen. He is a great example of how we all should be acting - acceptance, tolerance, not stooping to the level of negative people, not fighting back, remaining calm and thoughtful in all scenarios. He is amazing to me. I resonate with the way he treats others. I think the country is in for a huge spiritual overhaul, something we sorely need.

Wasserman Schultz: Judiciary Committee Willing To Arrest Rove If He Doesn't Testify 

 

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said that the House Judiciary Committee would be willing to arrest Karl Rove if the former White House official doesn't testify about his role in the firing of nine U.S. attorneys in 2006.

Wasserman Schultz, in an interview on MSNBC Tuesday, echoed the demand of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) that Rove would not be allowed to invoke executive privilege to avoid testifying. Rove could not invoke the privilege since he said he did not have conversations with the president about the attorneys' firing, Wasserman Schultz said.

Asked by MSNBC host Dan Abrams if the committee would go far as having Rove arrested, Wasserman said it would.

"Well, if that's what it takes," she said. "I mean we really cannot allow the co-equal branch of government, the legislative branch, to be trampled upon by the executive branch. The founding fathers established three branches of government. We are a co-equal branch, and this is an administration that essentially has ignored and disrespected the role of the legislative branch for far too long."

Rove said Sunday that the Judiciary Committee has refused to take up offers by his lawyer and the Bush administration that would allow the committee to find the information it's seeking without Rove's testimony.--The Hills' Blog

How in the world can these people look at themselves in the mirror and talk about Democracy when they are helping the Terrorists in Colombia.   I am really trying not to question their Patriotism, but when you are actually helping known terrorists take over an ally, it is hard to believe they are Patriots. I mean FARC is a Marxist Terror group that has been at war with its own government for decades. Interpol backs Colombia in case of rebel laptop

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Interpol said Thursday it found no evidence of tampering in computers Colombia says it seized from a slain leftist rebel. The finding discredits Venezuelan assertions that the files are bogus and gives Colombia the international backing it sought.

The forensic study by the France-based international police agency will increase pressure on Venezuela's socialist president, Hugo Chavez, to explain documents indicating his government was financing and arming the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

Colombia said its commandos recovered the three Toshiba Satellite laptop computers, two external hard drives and three USB memory sticks after destroying a rebel camp across the border in Ecuador. FARC foreign minister Raul Reyes and 24 others were killed in the March 1 raid.

Chavez has called the documents fakes, mocking Colombia's revelations about "the supposed computer of Raul Reyes." He denies arming or funding the FARC, though he openly sympathizes with Latin America's most powerful rebel army.

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe turned to Interpol in hopes of dispelling any doubts about the documents' authenticity, and after two months of forensic work, the agency's 39-page report gives him what he wanted.

Interpol found Colombian authorities did not always follow internationally accepted methods for handling computer evidence, but that they did not modify, delete or create any user files.

"There was no tampering with or altering of any of the data contained in the user files by any of the Colombian law enforcement authorities following their seizure on March 1," said Interpol's secretary general, Ronald Noble, a former enforcement chief for the U.S. Treasury Department.--AP

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you're so darn stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That's what the Speaker of the House is saying. Read below...............

  Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income..  In other words tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this.

  Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

  This woman is frightening.
  She quotes..." We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest."  ( I am not rich, are you)

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
"We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'."  (Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.  Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it.   

Snopes has this as a false statement.  Sorry for anyone out there that I may have fooled.  But is was a statement that sounded like she would say.   Just like Hillary's statement that she needs to take away from the oil companies.  Sorry for any misinformation.
I usually try and check out snopes beforehand, but as I said before it sounds too much like what Pelosi would actually say.

Dhimmi Carter is at it again. This time he is talking about how wonderful it is to talk to dictatorships.  See,you only need to talk to the dicatator not the people.  What a putz.

When is this fool going to start realizing that talking to our enemies only gives them more inspiration to go on killing.  Talking in the Arab world is a sign of weakness. They do not want to talk to us, they want to kill us and destroy Israel. No amount of talking will change that.   Maybe if we help the opposition in Iran we might have a chance with them. But the whole Palestinian group will not end their violence until Israel is gone. Just read their Friday sermons.

Carter also said no one from the U.S. State Department had tried to dissuade him from holding the meetings, and that they were aware of his schedule. "Before I went to Nepal, I put in a call for Condoleeza Rice just to have a personal conversation with her about my plans," Carter said. "I went over the entire itinerary. She could not take my call because she was traveling in Europe, so she asked David Welch, who is the assistant secretary of state. We had a 20-minute conversation, which was very pleasant, never a single negative word and not a single request that I modify my itinerary." Carter said he understood the pressures on the presidential candidates to release statements critical of his meetings with Hamas. "I forgive them all and I understand their motivations," he said. The prime minister and the head of the opposition are not meeting with you, and President Shimon Peres' bureau said he intends to lecture you about your attitude toward Israel. How much does the criticism bother you? "I'm disappointed, but not distressed. What ever happened to Democrats that actually stood for National Security, National Defense, and Free Trade.  It seems that they have been thrown under the bus by the Nutroots and the Unions.  Nancy Pelosi will notbring up a Free Trade Agreement up with Colombia because her union bosses do not like it.   But 35 former officials in Democratic administrations wrote  a letter in favorof the agreement. But Ithink that it has a snopwballs chance in Hell to even get a vote because of the ties Nancy andthe rest of the Nutroot Democrats have to Unions and the UNion bosses.

If nothing else, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's ploy last week to change House rules in order to kill the Colombia Free Trade Agreement is exposing how extreme her protectionism is. Yesterday, 35 former senior officials in Democratic Administrations and Democratic Members of Congress signed an open letter urging Congress to pass the Colombia pact.

"We believe this Agreement is in both our vital national security and economic interests," the letter says. "We feel that the treaty should be considered as soon as possible and that any obstacles be quickly and amicably resolved." Good luck with that last point given Ms. Pelosi's eagerness to take orders from the AFL-CIO.

But the men and woman who signed the letter are notable for their prominence in the Clinton and Carter Administrations – which is to say when Democrats were still a free-trading party. The list includes Bernard Aronson, former Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs, whose area of expertise included Colombia. There's also Donna Shalala, former Secretary of HHS, plus Robert Pastor, former director for Latin America on the National Security Council and nobody's idea of a right-winger.

Also Former Secretary of Defense William Cohen and former Deputy Defense Secretary John Hamre; former Congresspersons Lee Hamilton, Dan Glickman, Patricia Schroeder, Steve Solarz, Sam Gibbons and Calvin Dooley, and former Senators Robert Kerrey, Bob Graham and John Breaux.

Yes, we know: Former Members of Congress don't have to vote and face the wrath of the Teamsters. But they do know the national interest, and their three-page letter makes clear the damage Congress will do if it defeats the Colombia FTA.
